The MUSC Restorative Clinic encompasses the disciplines of Operative Dentistry (“fillings”) and Fixed Prosthodontics (“crowns, bridges”) to restore broken, missing, and decayed teeth. Various materials such as amalgam (silver fillings), composite resin (tooth-colored fillings), gold, porcelain fused to metal, and a variety of all-ceramics are used to rebuild a patient’s occlusion to proper form, function, and esthetics.
