Central Sterilization

The Central Sterilization Department at the College of Dental Medicine is one of the newest and state of the art facilities in the country. The sterilization equipment and technology of the department rivals that of many large hospital facilities. The facilities include 3 full-size washers/dryers; 1 roll-in cart washer, 5 sterilizers, and 5 hand-piece cleaning units for handling all the needs of the dental school clinics. The sterilization department cleans, oils, lubricates, and sterilizes all clinical / departmental instruments, cassettes, & handpieces used within the dental school.
